Almost There

I am listening to this awesome track by Brian Mcfaden called 'almost Here.' I feel like crying-it makes me feel so nostalgic. It screams so many things in my head. Its like a single song that tells you what life is all about and what it should be, not neccessarily in words but also in the melody,tune.......and its also raining outside and there was a breeze that cooled the rain drops even more.

Coincidentally, this whole year seems to have started on a different note- think i can add a caption of 'lessons with Nostalgia and what ifs.......' i was just wondering how single small instances can just turn our lives around. We wouldnt even be like the people we were. Its just like this track-'Almost here'...........maybe i would say it always seems like we're always 'almost there.' I learned this yesterday in literal terms (especially)-Life is always about trying to reach for more than you can grasp.I always seem to be stretching in my mind and not in practical senses!

So what would you do if you were in a crux and needed to choose,if you saw your parents ageing and your youth fading,if you saw the distance becoming farther with your loved and near ones,if you saw the sun shining brighter on the other side, but rains favoring the opposite end?If you wanted something so dearly and all you had to do is reach for it,but then realize both your arms couldnt embrace all those you wanted in your life?

Thats life- its always like your almost there.

Asha -
i like tht spot on parents aging n our youth fading - felt tht way lots of times - even wondered how v d find our way without their calming guidance...
good to know u ve been thinking abt those things too!
n being "almost there" isnt it strange tht when we reach yesterday's "there" its no longer today's "there" for us? guess thts wht Robert Frost means when he says " and miles to go before i sleep " in his poem!( Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening )..

"almost there"... an ever receding horizon. but then what is the other choice but to walk towards it.
a different perspective could be, on our way to one we see newer ones further ahead, and shift focus to those.

but yeah life does feel like about trying to reach for more than one can grasp.

:)
